The Pacific Coast Highway Tourist route from Auckland takes in Tauranga, Gisbourne, Napier & Hastings, with Whakatane approximately at the half way point.

Out on the edge of the countryside, we are in an ideal place for many outdoor activities with quiet & safe roads to cycle, local horse riding, and a variety of walking routes well away from the traffic & activity of Whakatane town. On the other hand, if you don't feel that  energetic how about a bit of river or sea fishing, maybe you will be lucky enough to catch your supper to bbq back at the House.
